DRIVER TRAINING AS A CAREER
The Exhilaration of being a Driving Instructor The work of a Driving Standards Agency Approved Driving Instructor, DSA. ADI (Car) is extremely satisfying and motivating.
Driving
Instructors come from all walks of life and are more often than not
people who have succeeded in other professions but have made a decision
that they want a new challenge or career, working for themselves or in
a different sort of team. They more often than not therefore bring a
wealth of experience and skills to their teaching.
What
greater job satisfaction can there be than constantly operating in a
1:1 situation with a highly motivated person who desperately needs the
skills you possess? This along with the feeling of satisfaction when a
student gains a first time pass, cannot be rivaled.
Working
with individuals who have different personalities and characteristics
is extremely stimulating and the ability to be able to teach these
individuals - all of whom progress at a different pace - is
exhilarating. The constant monitoring of ones own teaching is essential
however to ensure that instruction at the highest level is being
offered, at all times, to all students. This of course is easier to
achieve if you work as a member of a team rather than on your own.
A
good Driving Instructor can expect to be in demand for in excess of 40
hours per week but can teach less and mould the hours around his/her
existing commitments.
Job satisfaction and earnings can
therefore be quite high in what must be said is one of the most
responsible careers in the community.
